In Japan, approximately 350,000 patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease are undergoing dialysis treatment. Most patients visit hospitals or clinics three times a week for 4-hour sessions, significantly impacting their Quality of Life (QOL). However, only about 750 patients in Japan currently adopt home hemodialysis due to the lack of suitable equipment. This project aims to develop a home dialysis device that will help improve the QOL of patients and promote the spread of home hemodialysis.
